Ray Wardlaw

 Mrs. Ray Wardlaw, 78, of Braselton, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006.

 Born in Bartow County, she was the daughter of the late Aurther W. and Annie G. Wynn. She was formerly of Roswell and attended Center Union Baptist Church. She was everybody’s nanny and loved making handmade quilts, according to loved ones. Mrs. Wardlaw was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ralph Wardlaw.

 Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Melinda Wardlaw, Braselton, Bobby and Donna Wardlaw, Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Ophelia and John Williams, Dawsonville; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Wynn, Warrenton, and Hugh Wynn, Griffin; a sister, Marie Oliver, Woodstock; and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27, at 11 a.m., in Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. James Gooch and Ronnie Coley officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at the funeral home.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Center Union Baptist Church, 335 W. Broad St., Apt. 607, Hoschton, Ga. 30548.

 Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
