JAMES OSCAR SHELTON, son of JOSEPH WILLIAM "JOE" SHELTON and MARTHA JANE LITHA DAVIS, was born October 11, 1902, in Trion, Chattooga County, Georgia, USA, and died December 16, 1977, in Lafayette, Walker County, Georgia, USA.  He married JEWELL NANNIE UNDERWOOD December 05, 1925, in Red Bank, Hamilton County, Tennessee, USA, daughter of JAMES REUBEN UNDERWOOD and LAURA ANN STOKER.  She was born April 18, 1909, in Lafayette, Walker County, Georgia, USA, and died October 31, 2008, in Lafayette, Walker County, Georgia, USA.
